John Thompson
Singer/Guitarist
Bio

********************

Since he was six years young, John has fired up audiences for the likes of Grand Old Opry singer Hal Ketchum and the Queen of Hearts Juice Newton. He has been the featured artist on the “Radio Lia Show” KMPS FM 94.1 as well as performing live for 80,000 fans at the Merritt Mountain Music Fest!

Thompson has been playing guitar since he was six years old and singing since before he could walk. He has a George Strait/Johnny Cash performance style as he walks on to the stage, appropriately dressed in his country finest- boots, cowboy hat and guitar, introducing himself with “Hello, I’m John Thompson" before opening with "Folsom Prison Blues."

The young and talented Thompson's show peaks for many with tunes like "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy" and "Chicks Dig It!" Thompson and family friend John Case wrote a tune about his dad called “Duct Tape Man." This soon-to-be-classic country tune pays tribute to the many uses his father has discovered about Duct Tape. Thompson's guitar picking and confident showmanship enhance this crowd pleaser every time.
